I am Kristina Kanne from Germany. I am studying in the Netherlands communication studies in my third year. Even my study is really practical I wanted to get some practical experiences in the real work life. Until now I got all of my knowledge from books and lectures now I want to get real life experiences. I think it’s the easiest way to make an internship in my own country but it’s more exciting to work in a different country. Furthermore it’s a good opportunity to improve my English skills. I’m fluent in German and Dutch but my English has to sharpen up. So I will spend the next two month working in Birmingham at Kinetic.
I think to work in a PR-company is really interesting but it’s although a lot of work and stress. I’m prepared to work hard I’m willing to learn a lot. Angela, Claire and Aimee give me a warm welcome today and I’m sure I will fit into the team.
Next to my work I hope to get to know a lot of people and get to know Birmingham.. For the two month I found a nice room in Witton in a really international house. We are with two Germans and two France girls, who are doing their studies here in Birmingham.
Everything is very exciting for me right now but I’m sure I will get use to it and in a few days I will feel at home in the UK
