4 Community Trust
PR the team engager

Dynamic forward thinking that gets down to the nuts and bolts of an organisation.

Jo Haydon
Founder
4 Community Trust

The difference
4 Community Trust supports Sandwell families with children’s services:
- Mainstream wrap-around care – before school club, after school club, holiday clubs, activities, and catering.
- Inclusion – Breakaway SEND (special educational needs and disability) clubs, respite care, SEND holiday club, Breakaway 4u Club (for parents or careers of SEND children).
- Education and training – apprenticeships, traineeships.
- Health and wellbeing – Lego therapy and mentoring.
The MD, Jo Haydon, could see that as the business expanded, the culture which had helped the community interest company (CIC) grow, was being diluted.
The whole 4 Community Trust came together one evening with Kinetic facilitating a workshop exploring and refreshing 4 Community Trust’s mission, vision and values.
Alongside Kinetic, 4 Community Trust:
- Engaged their team and united them behind a few words which they could remember by heart and which answered: Why are we here? What do we do better than anyone else? How do we do things the 4 Community Trust way?
- Used the above answers - 4 Community Trust's 'DNA' - to develop a robust communications plan, comprising: measurable objectives, detailed personas, key messages, campaign strategy and content themes.
PR that brings staff together
Kinetic engaged the 4 Community Trust team by:
- Developing a bespoke team questionnaire and workshop – guiding the team to come together and capture – in a few coherent words - the driving force behind this community interest company
- Working closely with them to develop its DNA and messaging – identifying and defining 4 Community Trust’s unique mission, vision and values to guide its communications
- Developing ideal client personas and a communications plan – focusing future communications to tight target audience profiles with compelling content ideas
- Building connections – connecting 4 Community Trust to MP Jess Phillips and Sir Iain Duncan Smith to help them achieve their mission.
